Josh was sold as a puppy to a young couple who had no knowledge or experience of the breed and who did not understand how complex a Spanish Water Dog could be. He came into Rescue in January 2007 when he was nine months old. He had been a bit of a 'bad lad' and the couple were almost afraid of him. He was naturally wary of strangers although it was only a short while before he became their friend! He was not used to children and was quite frightened of them, especially if they were lively and noisy, so he would bark at them and then run away! He spent quite some time with Lynne who found that he was no problem once he realised he was not in control. Too much power too young! Josh went to live in Scotland with Gordon, and is living the life of Riley!! He travels extensively, including Ireland; rides the trams, stays in expensive hotels and is very much loved by everyone he meets. He has had his photo taken in all sorts of fancy places and never puts a foot wrong!
Josh is very much an ambassador for his Breed and for Rescue, particularly since he had his photo taken sitting on a giant hand sculpture which has turned him into the live version of our logo! This was purely co-incidental as Gordon had never seen the logo when he sent us the photo. Spooky!
